IN their hour of need, Birmingham Moseley turned to a local hero and he is now aiming for significant National One progress during the coming season.
Ollie Thomas has been part of the furniture at Billesley Common – and before it the Reddings – from before he could walk.
His father Alan was a flying Welsh winger for the Red-and-Blacks in their glory days of the 1970s and 80s. His 300-plus appearances included the 1979 John Player Cup final and he then went on to be the club’s long-term groundsman.
