Richard Barrington: George Martin and Alife Barbeary will power Saracens

Former Saracens prop Richard Barrington, below, talks to Ben Jaycock about his move into coaching, the next generation of front row talent, a new era at Saracens and why he expects one of the most competitive Premiership seasons in years.

Q: What are you doing with Saracens these days?
I’m the U18s forwards coach and I also do some work with the senior academy pathway, mainly with the forwards. It’s been really enjoyable. There are a few big lads coming through and some talented players, but I don’t want to blow too much smoke up them too early. Ultimately, they’ve still got to go out and do it on the pitch.
