GLOUCESTER are ready to switch their attentions towards Edinburgh lock Andrew Davidson as they step up their recruitment for next season.
The Cherry and Whites have already announced that on-loan England international hooker Jack Singleton has signed a permanent deal and that Scotland fly-half Adam Hastings is arriving at the club.
While Georgia centre Giorgi Kveseladze and Argentine international full-back Santiago Carreras have both joined the club in the last seven days as well.
Davidson moved to Edinburgh from Glasgow earlier in the year after a spell with Newcastle Falcons, but it seems he could be joining the exodus of players heading out of Scotland next summer.
Meanwhile, Gloucester have slapped down ludicrous suggestions that England international Ollie Thorley could be heading to Sale Sharks as Chris Ashton's replacement next summer.
Recruitment chief Alex Brown did well to keep a straight face when he said: “I just wanted to categorically put it on record that Ollie Thorley is not going anywhere.”
