Henry Slade believes England have all the ingredients to challenge rugby’s biggest nations at next year’s Rugby World Cup – if they can finally solve the one issue holding them back.

Henry Slade insists England are just one step away from competing with the top teams at the Rugby World Cup next year.

Steve Borthwick’s squad currently have their feet up on holiday after winning two from three in their Nations Championship summer, another campaign blighted by ill-discipline.
That will be top of the agenda when Borthwick gets his players together again ahead of the autumn internationals as it has been a common theme recently.
Six cards in three games in July made it 15 for the calendar year which has seen England lose five games out of eight.
