Peter Jackson: The big fish that Wales let slip away

One reason why England are 1-100 to beat Wales in their opening match of this season’s Six Nations can be traced to a disused Cardiff pie factory where a ten-year-old boy changed for his first game of rugby.

For their first fixture of that season, Corpus Christi High School took their youngest team across the city to play Ysgol Glantaf of Jamie Roberts fame in an under-11 match beside the Taff at Hailey Park, adjacent to the converted clubhouse of Llandaff North, one of the capital’s venerated community clubs.
