AUSTRALIA secured their first-ever men’s Sevens title last weekend after finishing third in the series finale in Los Angeles. Several teams were in the hunt for the title heading into the final leg of the series with South Africa top of the standings, two points clear of Australia. However, South Africa were twice beaten in the group stages — by the United States and New Zealand — and missed out on the quarter-finals.
