‘Good day for the new boys’

“Kyle is a very hard worker who sometimes doesn't get his rewards for that but today he did,” said Townsend.

“Rufus was electric like he has been all season and big Pierre (Schoeman) got over for a try as well so it was a pretty good day for the new boys.”

Townsend added: “It was the first game of the season with a new team and we set out to play at speed and we did that on a number of occasions in the first half. We know that our discipline will have to improve but I was pleased we got through our sticky patch in the second half when we were a man down.”
