Willis: Fightback sets up ‘Cup final’ at Tigers

HAVING snatched one ‘Cup final' game at the death yesterday MOM Tom Willis insists will be approaching their key match with on Saturday as another Cup final as the battle for places comes to a conclusion.

“We saw today as a Cup final game, a match we couldn't lose if we want to get into the Champions Cup,” said Willis. “We had to get the win and now we have another Cup final against Tigers next week.

“We were very frustrated at half-time, we were not at all happy with our first-half performance, we didn't get out of the blocks. “Lee Blacket (coach) said we had a decision to make. We could either roll over or fight back and show how much it means to us and that's what we did in the second half. We just concentrated on the next process and showed a lot of composure in the end.

“The victory shows the depth we have in our squad, loads of young boys coming through with some of the senior players overseeing it, controlling us and utilising our energy and it it paid off.”
