BLK Hurricanes seek to go beyond limits known in Super Sevens Series

After five successful years on the UK 7s circuit, The Rugby Agents teamed up with BLK/RU Active Limited and created the BLK Hurricanes to compete in the 2018 Super Sevens Series.

The Super Sevens Series is the most prestigious elite 7s competition in the UK, with established invitational 7s teams battling it out alongside three international squads, including branches of England Students, Ireland Wolfhounds and Jamaica.

Rugby Agents director Jonny Stiles said: “The Super Sevens Series is where we have strived to be. Teaming up with BLK has given us this opportunity we deserve and to finish third in our first season is just amazing, credit to everyone involved.

“To top it off our try scoring machine Mike Adlard was awarded ‘Top Gun’ scoring a total of 18 tries across four legs.

“We are very excited to see what the future holds, this season has proved we can compete and win against the best in the UK. We are planning to add more UK tournaments to our schedule and hopeful we can expand the brands overseas.”

Richard Upshall, chairman of RU Active Limited, the UK, USA, Caribbean, GCC and Middle East licensee for BLK stated: “I have been involved with 7s for years, it was actually how I ended up as licensee for BLK Sport, so this signing has a special meaning for me! Go Hurricanes, Beyond Limits Known!”

Jonny Stiles added “The BLK Hurricanes’ motto is: ‘Stay #HUMBLE’. It keeps the team grounded and makes us appreciate everything we have achieved so far.”
