Lozowski signs two-year extension with Saracens

fly-half Alex Lozowski has signed a new contract with the reigning holders through to the end of the 2019/2020 season.
The Rugby Paper revealed in our 8 October edition that Saracens would make a second run at negotiations with their fly-half after he rejected their first offer of a renewed contract, and that he was never close to joining Chiefs as reported.
Lozowski told the club's official website: “It's great to be part of this team and I'm delighted to have re-signed. I've really benefitted from being in the environment and from being around good players and good coaches. I wake up in the morning and look forward to coming to training.”
The 24-year-old made his debut in the summer after being called up by for the tour of , starting at inside centre in the frenetic 38-34 first Test in San Juan. An honour Lozowski says was reached by playing alongside the stars at Saracens and the effect that has had on improving his abilities.

“I think being surrounded by the calibre of guys that we've got here is only going to bring your game up. I'm really grateful to be part of this team.

“There is a lot of laughter around the place every day, we try and have a good time. Then when it gets time to get down to serious business we all tune in and get on with the work. That's a nice balance to have.”
