National League One preview: Battle for promotion should go to the wire

Plymouth Albion lead a host of promotion hopefuls into a new National League One campaign, with relegated London Scottish and Cambridge among the sides looking to challenge at the top.

Plymouth Albion are aiming to turn last season’s near miss into promotion after a summer of major recruitment in a dramatically transformed National One.
Ryan Lamb’s men finished third last term, winning 20 of their 26 matches and accumulating 104 points.
Champions Rotherham Titans and runners-up Blackheath have both moved up leaving Albion as the highest-placed returning side.
But the arrival of relegated London Scottish and Cambridge – plus National Two champions Bury St Edmunds, Sheffield and Camborne – ensures there will be no shortage of competition.
