National Two North preview: Tynedale determined to go one better this time

Tynedale face a tougher test to go one better, with Sedgley Park among the new arrivals and Huddersfield and Heath stepping up after promotion.

 

Tynedale will attempt to turn last season’s promotion disappointment into another title challenge in a National Two North division which has undergone major change over the summer.
The Corbridge side finished runners-up to a dominant Sheffield last term, winning 21 of their 26 matches and collecting 106 points.
Sheffield claimed the title with four rounds to spare and eventually finished 15 points clear, while Tynedale edged Macclesfield into second before their promotion hopes were ended by a heartbreaking 29-20 home defeat against Oundle in the play-offs.
