NEWCASTLE Red Bulls made an impressive start to pre-season as they ran in nine tries to defeat Doncaster Knights at Kingston Park.
Dan McFarland’s new-look side produced an ambitious attacking display, racing into a commanding 36-12 half-time lead before Doncaster fought back after the interval.
McFarland said: “I really enjoyed that. There was a lot of effort out there, the guys have worked hard throughout pre-season and this was an opportunity for them to go out there and put that on the park.”
