Where there’s a Will there’s a way

…………..29 Bury St Ed's………….27

WILL Waddington crossed twice as Canterbury completed a narrow bonus-point victory over .

The East Anglian side were first to score, a rapid start seeing them go multiple phases before full-back Kodie Drury-Hawkins scored.

Frank Reynolds started an excellent day from the tee with a penalty to close the gap.

A superb carry from Cameron Murray, led to Canterbury's first try, the Kent side then spread the ball quickly for Alfie Orris to score before Elliott Lusher also went over.

The final try of the first half went Bury's way, Ben Cooper barrelling over.

As in the first half, Bury scored first and fast in the second, this time through Matthew Bursey and Ben Penfold added another after multiple phases.

Waddington then set the game alight with the first of his two tries, his second coming of the back of another dominant maul.

Bury's quick tap tactic paid dividends for their last try, with Harry Simpson diving over in the corner.

However it proved too little to late as Bury fell just short and it was over with a Canterbury tackle forcing the ball loose before Frank Reynolds dispatched it to the touchline.
