Former England fullback Mike Brown will leave Esher early next year after being appointed Loughborough University’s new director of rugby.

The 72-cap international, who joined Esher as sporting director at the start of this year, will remain in his current role until the end of January.
Brown will oversee the strategic direction of both the men’s and women’s programmes.
His remit will cover Loughborough’s BUCS, National League and Premiership Women’s Rugby operations, including the Lightning franchise and its developing partnership with Northampton Saints.
