Guernsey continued their impressive inaugural National Two East season with a dominant bonus point victory over Canterbury.

The bitterly cold conditions causing numerous handling errors but the home side put in a gutsy display to seal a statement win.

The home side's dominant start was rewarded as they took the lead through a Charlie Davies penalty.

Canterbury responded with Thomas Williams going over for a try that fly-half Frank Reynolds improved.

However, Guernsey hit back with Bradley Webb's converted crossover, with Davies on hand to add the extras.

Two further home tries followed before half-time as Ethan Smith and Ciaran Mcgann scored late on.

Charlie Simmonds' score that was again improved by Davies enhanced Guernsey's lead but the visitors bit back with two unconverted tries through Frank Morgan and Ben Cooper.

The two misses from the tee by Reynolds proved decisive as the home side took advantage with a final try at the buzzer.

A deserved win was rounded off in the dying seconds as Hugo Culverhouse touched down for a late converted try.
