Tiger tamer Kacala flew the flag in European Cup

POWERHOUSE18-stone flanker Gregori Kacala remains the best known Polish rugby player in history, winning the MOM award in the 1997 Heineken Cup final when he spearheaded a commanding Brive performance against an outclassed Leicester.
Kacala played much of his senior career for RC Lechia Gdańsk and Ogniwo Sopot before moving to Grenoble relatively late on and then joining Brive where he started to make a huge impact. He was 31 in that Heineken Cup final and soon after moved to Cardiff where he made over 100 appearances.
