1. Alarms

I know alarms have their uses but I can’t think of anything worse than lying in bed and a house alarm or a car alarm going off hours at a time, especially in the middle of the night! It’s not just these alarms though, the one that really gets me is the smoke alarm. Ours seems to ultra-sensitive because whenever you cook anything it lets out a high-pitch sound that cuts right through you. You don’t necessarily have to burn anything to set it off, the smallest puff of smoke normally does the trick, creating dramatic scenes of kitchen towel wafting and frantic window opening!

2. Lead foot motorway drivers

I’m sure this will have been in a lot of people’s Room 101‘s before but what the heck! Following my loan move to Wasps, I do a lot of travelling between London and Bristol for training and it’s really brought to my attention how bad a lot of people are at driving. From people sat in the outside lane at 60mph to drivers speeding up to overtake and then pulling in front of you and slowing right back down again, I seem to encounter every kind of bad driving trait possible on my
journey to work and back.

3. Precious dog owners

I have a little blue Staffy called Hank, who loves nothing more than playing with other dogs. Sadly, too many dog owners are precious about their pets and stifle their natural instincts to run about and get muddy and wet by keeping them on a lead. Some even carry their dogs around like they’re accessories.
