Saracens came close to giving Mark McCall a fitting send-off after a rousing end to the season, but missed out on the play-offs after losing at old foes Exeter Chiefs on the final day of the regular season.
McCall announced earlier in the campaign that he was standing down at the club’s director after 15 years at the helm.
He has been succeeded by the man he took over from in 2009, Brendan Venter.
