JUST eight months after being diagnosed with chronic myeloid leukaemia, Guernsey prop Jamie Aureka Mao-ate-Dunn pulled on the famous black jersey once again after earning selection for the New Zealand Ambassadors touring squad.
The 31-year-old former Manawatū expat, who has spent the last three seasons at Guernsey, admits the diagnosis “hit me like a tonne of bricks”, but says returning to rugby just three months later proved his journey was far from over.
