FULL-BACK Tom de Glanville, delighted to give Bath's departing contingent a winning farewell, said: “It was a big emotional feeling and we were buzzing.
“It was a culmination of our hard work through the season to see off all these boys who are leaving and so many of them have done so much for me.
“It was unbelievable to hear the crowd again. I had my parents and my brother here – best day!”
Rugby director Stuart Hooper said: “There are moments where we can look back and say what we could've done differently and better but let's enjoy it for what it is.
“We were pretty dominant for about 30 minutes but our heads dropped a bit and they got back in the game.”
Northampton boss Chris Boyd said: “Average games come down to critical moments and we were on the wrong end of a couple of them.
“We knew exactly what we needed to do. I thought they were out on their feet at half-time. We've got to be more consistent.”
