BLUES ended their inconsistent season with a far from convincing victory over bottom of the table Zebre at the Arms Park.
It mattered little as both sides had already exited the competition and ahead of next weekend’s final round of fixtures only Glasgow, Munster and Benetton remain in contention to be the European finalist.
Blues were without the attacking talents of the rested Josh Adams and the injured Hallam Amos and they just did enough to earn a hard-fought victory when they should have cruised home after compiling a 22-0 lead.
