Glen Webbe wants Lions to present a united front

 

GLEN WEBBE – the first black player to play for Wales – has urged both the British & Irish Lions and South Africa to present a united front against racism this summer.
Webbe, 59, who won ten caps on the wing, once had a banana thrown at him and was no stranger to racism in his career.
He believes the game has made great strides since his time in the 1980s and 90s, but thinks more can still be done.
Before Autumn Nations Cup and Six Nations matches an anti-racism message was played while some players took the knee in support of the Black Lives Matter movement.
