Glo-Hartpury 36-0 Bristol: Hunt’s double helps keep Bears out in cold

-Hartpury kept the door closed to west country rivals Bears as they ran out resounding bonus-point winners.

With flankers Georgia Brock and Tabitha Copson making tackle after tackle, scrum-half Mo Hunt was given free rein to dictate the host's attack and carve out a try for herself after just five minutes.

The World Cupwinner utilised space available around the ruck to burst clear and go all the way to the line for the first points on the match.

Hunt then turned provider to send centre Hannah Jones through, but she still had work to do and duped the Bears defence with a dummy to make room for her to run to the line.

Matters were almost made worse for Bristol when wing Courtney Keight was binned for a deliberate knock-on, only for Gloucester's Brock to get overzealous in her tackling and be shown yellow on the brink of half-time for taking Ellie Mulhearn over the horizontal.

With Zoe Aldcroft introduced after the break for her first appearance since a lengthy spell on the sidelines, the hosts crossed for four more tries.

As both teams returned to their full complement of players, wing Kelly Smith received the ball to score her 50th try in the Premier 15s.

A second for Hunt, created by Aldcroft, and a brace of tries for Ellie Underwood completed a solid performance for the hosts.
