Wasps wing Abby Dow

Livewires Meg Jones and Abby Dow knock Sarries off their stride

, inspired by Meg Jones, bounced back from their one-point loss to last week to beat leaders .

Fly-half Jones scored 16 points as Wasps made up for letting slip a 19-5 lead last week to produce a comeback of their own against Saracens.

Jones was a livewire from the start and crossed for the game's first points on three minutes when she sold Sarah McKenna a dummy to take advantage of a two-on-one and score down the right.

Saracens hooker May Campbell drew scores level soon after with her tenth try of the season coming from a lineout-maul, prior to Jones nudging Wasps back ahead with a penalty off the tee.

Another three points by Jones had Wasps believing they would hold the edge at halftime but Rocky Clark came up with a vital converted try for Saracens after Sarah Mitchelson was sin-binned for not being ten metres away at a penalty.

Leading 12-11, the visitors started the second half with another try for Campbell when a high tackle on McKenna allowed Saracens to kick for territory and fire up their rolling maul again.

A try apiece for Abby Dow and Marlie Packer heightened the drama, with a Jones penalty drawing Wasps to within one score.

On the hour, Dow showed her Test class with an stunning run down the right, eluding six defenders to score.
