SIMMERING tensions between BT Sport and Premiership Rugby are set to explode following the decision to suspend top-flight relegation this season, and potentially beyond.
After recently agreeing a new three-year, £110m deal to televise Premiership matches until 2024, BT Sport bosses are said to be deeply concerned over suggestions that the relegation moratorium may be extended to four years, thereby reducing jeopardy levels in the competition.
