Let Sarries back, but no place for Ealing

THE prospect of Saracens being reinstated in the Premiership for the 2020-21 season would make sense in terms of increasing the competitiveness of the league.
It would also respect the recommendation by Lord Dyson, the chair of the independent disciplinary panel into the club’s salary cap breaches, that they should not be relegated.
What would not be right is any move for Ealing Trailfinders to be promoted along with Championship winners, Newcastle, to create a ring-fenced 14-team Premiership, when the RFU regulations stipulate that only the title-holders go up.
