Harlequins have signed former London Welsh captain Ryan Hodson on a short-term deal with immediate effect.
The move, which was first confirmed in The Rugby Paper on December 18 by Jon Newcombe, comes at a time when Quins are without a number of back-row players.
Australian-born flanker Hodson is English qualified through his grandmother and joined the Exiles in 2015 from Jersey.
He captained London Welsh to the British and Irish Cup in 2016 and previously played Super Rugby for the Melbourne Rebels between 2012 and 2014.
Quins are currently without Luke Wallace and Chris Robshaw due to injury while Jack Clifford is away with England during the Six Nations.
Harlequins Director of Rugby, John Kingston said: “Due to the combined injuries to Luke Wallace and Chris Robshaw, and Jack Clifford’s commitments with England, we need some short-term cover in the back-row area.
“We are lucky to be able to bring someone of Ryan’s experience and leadership qualities at such short notice. I look forward to seeing the impact he will make during his time with us.”
