Bath win and Saracens lose but both reach Champions Cup quarter-finals

Bath reached the Champions Cup quarter-finals following their 20-15 win Glasgow at The Rec yesterday.
The West Country side topped Pool 4 as a result of Toulouse‘s 27-26 defeat to Montpellier and became the first club in the European Cup history to do so after losing their opening two match in the competition.
The Warriors made a great start to the game with Alex Dunbar crossing in the opening minutes and the Scots took a 7-6 lead into the break as George Ford kicked two penalties for the hosts.
Richie Vernon made it 12-6 soon after the break but Bath started to get to grips with the game and two powerful forward plays, a catch-and-drive and a scrum, saw them being awarded two penalty tries to clinch it.
They will now travel to Leinster in the quarter-finals on the opening weekend of April.
Saracens also made it through to the last-eight despite being outdone in Clermont 18-6 at the Stade Marcel Michelin.
The French had Nick Abendanon and Vincent Debate cross for tries while only Charlie Hodgson could get Sarries on the board with two penalties.
That means they ended the group stages in second place behind Clermont and they will now have to travel to top seed Racing Metro in the quarter-finals while Clermont will host Northampton.
The last quarter-final will see reigning champions Toulon host Wasps who made it through thanks to their draw against Leinster on Saturday and Toulouse’s defeat yesterday.
