Friday to balance jobs between exiles and Eagles

London Scottish Director of rugby Mike Friday has agreed to become Head coach of the USA 7s squad.
The former England 7s coach will combine both roles and reunites with Alex Brown who was assistant to Friday during their time with Kenya.
Friday will fly out to pre-tournament camps with the Eagles, entrusting James Buckland, Peter Richards and Tim Harper to continue work in Richmond.
“I am naturally delighted and excited about the challenge of returning to the IRB World 7s circuit and starting a new Sevens journey with the USA Eagles,” Friday said.
“The programme will be run much like how I implemented the successful performance cycle programme in the past which will allow me the ability to continue in my role as Director of rugby at London Scottish.
“I’m fortunate to have both the full support of London Scottish and the USA Eagles and look forward to an exciting season ahead for both club and country.”
The IRB World 7s Series gets back under way on the Gold Coast on 11th October.
