New Bath deal for Gavin Henson

Bath announced that Gavin Henson has signed a one year extension to his contract.
The 32-year-old, who was named man of the match on Sunday against Brive in the Amlin Cup Quarter-finals, struggled with injuries at the start of the season but has since gone on to play 20 games for the West Country side.
He said: “I’m very happy to be staying. This is a top club and I feel excited about what this group of players can achieve. It is great to be part of it and I feel proud at the thought of playing more rugby for Bath.”
Head Coach Mike Ford added: “Gavin has had a stop-start season but since Christmas he’s got healthy and has forced his way back into the squad.
“He looks after himself very well and is the ultimate professional. We’re really pleased he’s staying and so are the boys.”
