Azerbaijani football faces an unusual autumn. Sabah is entering the Champions League league phase for the first time; the national team has four matches packed into late September and early October, and the domestic championship continues around both schedules.
Sabah Opens Its Campaign at Old Trafford
Sabah starts the Champions League league phase against Manchester United on 10 September, three years after its European debut in 2023/24. The current competition has 36 clubs, each playing eight different opponents rather than meeting three teams twice in a group.
