1. Cian Healy – The Leinster and Ireland loosehead has an awesome work rate. He loves a carry but he is also highly regarded as a scrummager. 2. Rory Best – Another Irishman in my front-row. The Ulster captain always leads from the front and he’s like an extra back-row on the field with his carries, tackles and turnovers. 3. Adam Jones – The Hair Bear has proved over the years that he is a world-class scrummager. He doesn’t mind a cheeky drop-goal now and again either! 4. Alun-Wyn Jones – He has an unbelievable engine for such a big guy. Whether that’s for Wales or the Ospreys, he just never knows when to give up. 5. Paul O’Connell – A born leader and great line out operator. Lions, Six Nations, Heineken Cup, he’s done it all. 6. Rocky Elsom – Like most people in Europe I’ve only faced him for one season when he came to Leinster back in 2009. What a freak around the field. 7. Ben White – He’s a weird bloke! You never seem to see him on the field but when he’s not playing you can see the difference at Exeter. A master of the dark arts at the breakdown. 8. Dave Ewers – A true wrecking ball who keeps bouncing off tackles. He’s not too bad in defence either as he always tops Exeter’s tackle charts. 9. Will Chudley – My third Chiefs team-mate in a row but Will is very skilful. He’s very quick too and I’m sure it won’t be long before he becomes an England international. 10. Jonny Wilkinson – When will the greatest fly-half of all time be knighted and become a Sir? He could do it all. Kicking, passing, tackling, there was no stone left unturned in his preparation. 11. Shane Williams – The 21st century Welsh wizard. His magic feet helped him score heaps of tries for Wales and the Ospreys over the years. 12. Gavin Henson – I played with and against him and what a player. He has a massive boot on him and always seems to have plenty of time on the ball. Likes a big hit in defence too. 13. Casey Laulala – My former Cardiff Blues teammate is an unreal offloader. And if that wasn’t enough to trouble defences, he has great footwork to match. 14. Gareth Thomas – One of my rugby idols growing up and coming through the Blues academy. A great leader and a great player with 100 Test caps for Wales. 15. Phil Dollman – The Chiefs full-back has outrageous skill levels. Definitely one of the best players I’ve played with not to have won a Welsh cap.
