Ross Batty will on Saturday bid an emotional farewell to Bath supporters at the Recreation Ground after a neck injury forced him to end his 11-year career with the club.
The 34-year old hooker, who became a favourite of the fans through his unwavering commitment and relish for a contest, had hoped to play for another year, but listened to medical advice when he was warned about the risks of carrying on having sustained the injury in training at the start of the season.
