MELBOURNE Rebels snapped the Brumbies’ unbeaten streak in Super Rugby AU with a first-half blitz setting up a 30-12 victory to throw the competition wide open.
It was a night to forget for the Brumbies who were looking to make it ten wins on the bounce. A Reece Hodge double, plus tries from Brad Wilkin and Jordan Uelese, gave the hosts a 27-7 lead at the interval.
Matt Toomua added a penalty against his old club, who scored in the final minute through flanker Will Miller.
