Putin puts his might behind RWC2027

THE ‘news’ that Russia is to launch a bid to host RWC2027 seems to have caught some by surprise although it was widely reported in the Russian media as long ago as May 31 last year following a meeting of the Russian Rugby Union Board and a pronouncement by their general director Stanislav Druzhinin.
