Challenge Cup fixtures preview

Friday will see two more exciting European matches take place.

Agen will host Harlequins and Timisoara Saracens head to Franklin’s Gardens to take on Northampton Saints in the Challenge Cup.

French side Agen will be looking to avenge their 54-22 loss to Harlequins the last time these sides met.

Mauricio Reggiardo’s side are unable to progress in the tournament but will be relishing the opportunity to get a result.

Harlequins have already qualified for later stages of the tournament so there could be an opportunity for some young players to make the match-day squad.

After heavy snow postponed the game in Romania, Northampton will be hoping that they can secure a place in the knock-out rounds of the Challenge Cup by beating Timisoara Saracens.

The Romanian side haven’t won in Europe this year so will be keen to try and get a result against Northampton, a side they have never faced before.

Northampton scored seven tries in their narrow 48-40 loss to Clermont Auvergne so will have confidence heading into the match on Friday.
