Wainright leads the peloton to Scotland

About 180 cyclists rode from Cardiff to Edinburgh with the match ball for yesterday’s Six Nations match – the Doddie Weir Cup – named after the Scotland second row who died in November aged 52 after battling motor neurone disease.
The Doddie Cup 555 Ride is to raise funds and awareness of the My Name’5 Doddie Foundation, which is leading research into MND.
A star-studded group, including Olympian Sir Chris Hoy and England World Cup winner Martin Johnson travelled the 555 mile distance led by Weir’s former teammate Rob Wainwright, who delivered the ball on to the pitch at Murrayfield.
