BRYN GATLAND reckons the Provincial Barbarians earned the Lions’ respect after pushing them close in the tour opener yesterday.
The fly-half, son of Lions boss Warren, was on course to claim bragging rights over his father with the Kiwi invitational side up 7-3 at the break after some inventive play from Gatland at 10.
