Gloucester-H… 19 Harlequins…….14
Gloucester-Hartpury went three from three in the Allianz Cup with a dogged victory over Harlequins.
It was the visitors however who opened the scoring at Hartpury when Shaunagh Brown crashed over from close range following strong forwards phases, with Ella Cromack adding the extras.
Gloucester-Hartpury dominated much of the play after going behind, but were made to wait for a try until nearly the 30 minute mark when Pip Hendy crossed in the corner before Lizzie Goulden slotted the conversion.
The hosts took the lead just minutes into the opening half with Mia Venner linking up well with her back-line to dance her way to the try-line.
Gloucester’s lead failed to last long with Hannah Duffy crossing from close range for Quins but they were soon back infront soon after when their pack hassled and harried themselves towards the line and Hendy added a second.
The visitors continued to push for a winner and were denied by some monstrous defence and held up Harlequins over the line to secure victory.
