GLOUCESTER-Hartpury took an emphatic bonus point from their trip to the Darlington Arena in the Allianz Cup.
The visitors ran in 15 tries in a dominant performance over DMP Sharks, who fell to their second heavy defeat in the competition.
The away side made a lightning start, with early tries from Emma Sing, Liv Jones and Sophie Bridger giving them a commanding lead inside the opening ten minutes. Their bonus point try came through Ellie Underwood, as the Gloucester-Hartpury backs showed their cutting edge. Further first-half tries from Mo Hunt, Kathryn Buggy and a further two for hat-trick hero Underwood saw the visitors take a 50-point lead at the break.
DMP Sharks enjoyed their best spell of the game shortly after the interval, eventually being held up over the Glos-Pury line.
An improved 20 minutes from the hosts saw them hold off their opposition for long periods, before their resistance was broken. A breathless final quarter saw Gloucester run in a further seven tries, with Olivia Jones rounding off a hat-trick of her own to cap off a strong all-round performance for the cherry and whites.
