YSTRAD Rhondda came up with the performance of the season so far as they became the first team to beat leaders Bargoed.
The home side’s 25-15 victory meant the Bulls weren’t able to make it 11 straight league wins and now have to go into next Sunday’s Championship Cup final against Neath on the back of a defeat.
The loss also means the door is open for Neath to possibly nip in and steal the league title from them as well if they suffer any more slip-ups in their two remaining matches.
