Edinburgh came up short in a pulsating contest as their hopes of a top-four finish took a major dent with defeat by the Sharks at the DAM Health Stadium.
Mike Blair’s side fought back from 14-0 down to lead 19-14 but a try from Sharks hooker Kerron Van Vuuren proved decisive as the visitors resisted a late onslaught with some superb scramble defence.
