Rosslyn Park keep the Dogs on leash

………. 41 ………………… 19

ROSSLYN Park ran in seven tries at The Rock to sweep aside .

The hosts started quickly and opened the scoring within two minutes as Charlie Walker crossed over under the posts. Then, just seconds after Park had nearly doubled their lead through Josh Pieterse, the visitors went the length of the pitch to level through Fergus Mulchrone.

Next, following a scrum penalty, Isaac Miller rode a Park maul over the line to retake the lead, before Joe Luca Smith extended it just minutes later thanks to an interception which he ran in from his own 22.

As time was winding down in the half, Sale narrowed the lead when Nathan Langdon crossed after a maul.

In the second half, Luc Smith weighted a lovely cross-field kick over to winger Benji Marfo who outleapt his opposite number to gather and dot down.

Then, after Sale carried the ball across their own line, a five-metre scrum provided the platform for Pieterse to power over the line.

Sale pulled one back towards the end through Edward Stagg, but Park finished the match in emphatic fashion as both Arthur Ellis and Jasper Cameron crossed over within the space of a few minutes.
