WHARFEDALE caught Harrogate cold, scoring two tries in the first eight minutes as they raced to a comfortable win at Rudding Lane.
In the very first minute, Wharfedale charged down a defensive kick, leading to a try from Sam Gaudie. They maintained pressure and following a catch and drive, Ben Wright bagged a try that Tom Mann converted.
The rest of the half was fairly even, though a break by Mann saw Harrogate requiring an interception by Greg Jones to keep their line intact.
