WORTHING secured a narrow victory over Bury St Edmund’s.
The foundations for victory were laid in the opening half as the hosts opened up a commanding 24-7advantage.
And they were two tries up inside the opening seven minutes with tries from Jimmy Staples and Harry Forrest, and a Thomas Derrick conversion.
Bury hit back with a try from Samir Kharbouch and Ben Penfold conversion.
