A MINUTE’S applause was held before kick-off to mark the passing of Peter Lipscomb, who served as OA club secretary for more than 40 years and was a well-known and popular figure throughout the National League.
The weather strongly influenced the match with a strong wind driving rain down the pitch. All the points came at one end and ultimately it was Barnes’ impressive ability to keep possession in the second half that got them over the line.
