National Two East side North Walsham have developed strong local educational links in recent years and are starting to reap the rewards after back-to-back promotions.
The club’s head coach Ryan Oakes is also head of rugby at University of East Anglia which has provided a pathway for students into the adult team with ten of the current squad either studying at UEA or graduated from the university in 2022.
Oakes similarly leads the Easton College Rugby Academy that allows players to play in regional and national college competitions, with two of North Walsham’s current first ...
