TWO tries from centre Jack Forrest helped Worthing open the season with a hard-fought win over Guernsey.
Playing their first game in more than 500 days, the hosts started perfectly with full-back Matt Mclean kicking two penalties in the opening 10 minutes.
Guernsey tried to get back into the game, but the hosts were solid in defence, and they increased their lead as Forrest claimed the first try. Five minutes later, Will Scholes touched down to give Worthing a 16-0 half-time lead.
