George Ford: I want to lead a Prem revival at Sale Sharks

The Sale playmaker is drawing on his experience of Leicester’s dramatic turnaround a few years back as he targets a return to the Prem play-offs.

George Ford is banking on it being a case of déjà vu for himself as he sets about helping mastermind a revival at Sale Sharks during the upcoming Prem season.
Sharks had a dismal campaign last time around, winning five out of 18 games and finishing seventh in the table, after making the play-offs in the previous three years.
Fly-half Ford has seen it all before though, when he was at Leicester Tigers when they would have been relegated in 2020, but for the Saracens salary cap scandal, a year after finishing 11th.
